Who We Are
With over 30 years of experience in professional photography, I work through my studio between Barcelona and Milan, specializing in editorial photography for architecture, interiors, portraiture, and fine art.
My practice focuses on creating visual narratives for publishers, architects, institutions, and companies, including architectural stories, environmental portraits, annual reports, catalogues, corporate communication, and fine art projects.
Alongside still photography, the studio also works on the direction of photography for documentaries on architecture, as well as on the production of photographic exhibitions, bringing a refined visual approach to spaces, people, and stories.
What We Do
Ciro Frank Schiappa’s studio creates photographic and visual projects for editorial, cultural and corporate contexts, with a focus on architecture, interiors, environmental portraiture, fine art and visual storytelling.
The practice includes photography for magazines, books, catalogues, annual reports, corporate communication, museums and exhibition productions. It also extends to moving image, with direction of photography for documentaries and films related to architecture, music and cultural heritage, as well as video and photographic productions for Museo Picasso Málaga.
Recent projects include the photographic work for Skira’s monograph Piero Portaluppi, the curation and photographic production for Elena Asins. Antígona at Museo Picasso Málaga, and the curation and photographic production for Joel Meyerowitz. Europa 1966–1967, also at Museo Picasso Málaga.
His recent cinematography work includes Miralles, Maria Mauti’s documentary on Enric Miralles, presented at DOK Leipzig, Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, Festival de Málaga, DocsBarcelona, Montreal and Barcelona, following his previous work as director of photography for L’Amatore, Mauti’s film on Piero Portaluppi.
